DAY 1: CU CHI TUNNELS – MY THO TOUR 1 DAY [L]
7:00 AM: Our guide picks you up at your hotel. Begin the day by visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels, a historic battlefield located just outside Saigon. This underground network played a vital role during the Vietnam War.
Afterwards, continue the journey to My Tho City, around 75km from Saigon, via the first freeway built in Southern Vietnam. Enjoy scenic views of rice fields, fruit orchards, and peaceful countryside villages along the way.
Upon arrival in My Tho, board a local motorboat to cross the mighty Mekong River – the largest river in Asia, stretching over 4,800km across six countries. Sip fresh coconut water on board as you cruise along.
Stop for lunch at Mien Tay Riverside Restaurant. Then visit a local workshop to see how Ben Tre's famous coconut candies are made.
Next, head to Unicorn Island. Sample fresh honey, bee pollen, and royal jelly. Take a Tuk Tuk ride around the village and enjoy tropical fruits like pineapple, watermelon, longan, and bananas while listening to traditional Southern folk music known as Cải Lương.
End the day with a peaceful sampan ride through the water coconut forest to experience the tranquil life of the Mekong Delta before returning to the harbor and heading back to Saigon. End of trip.
